SYLLABUS 

WELCOME TO 7th grade CREATIVE WRITING 

HELLO, MY NAME IS CINDY MAGALLANES VAZQUEZ THE PURPOSE OF CREATIVE WRITING AND JOURNALISM IS TO PREPARE STUDENTS WITH WRITING SKILLS.

Materials:

  • 1. Spiral Notebook
  • 1 Composition notebook
  • Pen / Pencil
  • Tissue Paper
  • a box ziploc bags (one gallon size)
  • Kleenex

Grades:

Are based in assignments / test

The grading sxale is as followes

100% – 90% = A

89% – 80% = B

79% – 70% = C

69% – 60% = D

59% – 50% = F

Overall grades are based on

50% Assessment

50% Classwork or homework

 

Expectations

  • My students are expected to be in time to class on time and prepared.  When tardy students are expected to sign in tardy log.

 

  •  Home work will be assigned weekly. My students are expected to turn work in time.  Assignments are allowed to be turned in 3 ays late with 10 points penalty per day.

 

  •  Students when absent have three days to do assignments after that it will be a failing grade.

      

About the Class

 

In this class students will apply their writing skills, learn about the writing process, grammar rules, and also newspaper activities. This class is a reinforcement of their writing class to prepare for the Starr Test. They will have homework and projects that will reinforce these skillls.
